Who is Philippe Timmermans?

Philippe Timmermans makes male sculptures in bronze. His work has a clear signature; the typical, powerful, yet elegants postures of the nude bodies with incredibly detailed applied textures.

Timmermans’s sculptures are an externalisation of his own male identity. “I can ‘feel’ my sculpture. I experience the position of my arms and legs, my muscles tensing. It is my male energy and I express it in my work.”

Philippe Timmermans is near and dear to our hearts here at Early Birds Art Gallery. That is why we have decided to devote our July exhibition to him. The exhibition will open on Saturday 16th July. Philippe Timmermans will be present on the occasion to welcome you with a drink. After this the exhibition continues to August 15th.
